During the winter of 2016, I was sent up to Maine to find talent for Discovery Channel's "Building Off The Grid". I found Jason Blakeney and his family of five after running into his father at a tractor shop in northern Maine. Two days later I was shooting the beginning of episode 1 of season 1 at the Blakeney home on the border of Maine and New Hampshire, three miles from the closest road.
